Thunder Fund-It-Bar
The Thunder Fund-It-Bar is both a fund raising tool and a communication tool. Your participation in this program will assist us in raising funds, which will ultimately keep our monthly fees at a reasonable level, yet still give our players the tools they need to be competitive. Every time you search, using the Yahoo search engine included with the Thunder Fund-It-Bar, and click on a sponsored link, Dallas Thunder will receive $.10 from the sponsors. The sponsored links are anything listed in the shaded area with bullet points or anything listed on the right side of the page. And just for downloading the Thunder Fund-It-Bar, Dallas Thunder receives an donation from the sponsors. Additionally, our ability to communicate last minute changes, critical updates or deadlines with you will improve through the use of the scrolling feature. Not to mention the fact that you will only be one click away from visiting our Home Page or accessing the Game Schedule! The Fund-It Bar was recommended to us by the National Homeschool Basketball Championships organization to assist homeschool organizations with fund raising. In our research of the Fund-It Bar, we found out that many colleges and universities as well as other non-profit organizations use the Fund-it Bar as part of their fund raising. Yahoo is making the Fund-it Bar available to non-profits and homeschool organizations as a means to increase its market share. There are no pop-ups, ad ware, spy ware or tracking and it respects the user’s privacy. We know people want to give and help, but not everyone can write a check. The Thunder Fund-It-Bar gives us all a way to make a difference without spending any of our own money. Research has shown that each of you using the Fund-It toolbar has your own unique usage pattern. Everyone is different. Still, we have found that everyone involved can be thought of as basically a primary user or a secondary user. Both users are supporting our goals with needed funding, but in different ways, and we want you to understand and appreciate each type for the very significant roles you play. Primary Users These are supporters who are heavily involved in the program, and very passionate about raising the money to fund its success. These are the people who will commit 5-10 minutes each and every day to help out because they want to make a difference. Secondary Users Supporters who are willing to use the toolbar whenever they search in the normal course of their lives, at home or work are Secondary Users. This is great for the organization! If you and everyone else who has downloaded the toolbar just do this each time you do a search, and click on a sponsored link that looks like it could help you, then our organization will see significant results over time. Whether you consider yourself a Secondary or Primary User, it will be important that you search things that interest you. We never encourage fake clicking. Here's why: Quality of Search-This is the term Yahoo! uses to rate each search. Quality of Search measures things like time spent on a web site and the number of pages visited. It is important for the longevity of the program that we maintain a good Quality of Search Rating, which is why we encourage searches that are of interest to you. And, just as important, click only on Sponsored Links that have information you believe will help you. After all, sponsors want people to visit their sites- that's why they pay to be in the top positions when you search. At the same time, they really only want visitors who truly want and could benefit from the information they put on their web sites. It's Your Stewardship - We have been granted a tremendous opportunity to raise funds during a difficult business climate. If we will make sure to honor the sponsor's request by doing searches of interest and spending at least one minute on each sponsored link then Dallas Thunder will have the opportunity to benefit long term from this program. However, if our members abuse the program, BenefitBar will cancel our tool bar in a spirit of integrity and fairness to those who pay for sponsored links.
