The 2008
-2009 season begins on August 18, 2008. Practices will be held on Mondays
and Wednesdays at the Sportsplex
at Valley View. Two sessions will be held each day. All girls
teams, boys 12 & under and boys14 & under will practice from noon until
2:00 p.m.. The boys 16 & under and boys 18 & under teams will
practice from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m..
If you have not registered yet, please complete a registration package
and bring it with you to practice. If you are unfamiliar with Dallas
Thunder, stop by practice, meet the players and parents and see what all the excitement is about.
Chris Gigl agrees to serve as Team Chaplain
Dallas Thunder is proud to
announce that Chris Gigl has accepted the position as Team Chaplain.
David Parker, Dallas Thunder President
confirmed, “Chris has assumed the role of what may well be the most important
job in the Thunder organization.
May
his leadership touch us all in some way, which brings us a little closer to our
Heavenly Father.

Chris M. Gigl graduated with
academic honors from University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
He acquired a B.B.A. degree and majored in
both accounting and management.
He was
President of the University’s academic fraternity and is listed in Who’s Who of
American Colleges and University.
He
was voted Marketing Student of the Year, was a multiple time member of the
Dean’s List and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In 1998, Chris joined
Milestone Construction, Inc. as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice
President.
He oversees the company’s
financial operations, personnel, computer information systems and is actively
engaged in building client relationships.
Chris also serves as
Executive Director of Master Plan Business Ministries.
This ministry exists to assist business
owners in managing and running their business according to biblical principles.
Mr. Gigl resides in Farmers
Branch, TX, has been married to his wife Vivian for 24 years and has a
15-year-old son, Jake.
He attends
church at The Branch at Vista Ridge and is on the Board of Directors for
several non-profit organizations.
The Thunder Family is
excited, appreciative and blessed that Padre Chris has offered to serve in this
role.
